    Declaration as to promissory title by Thomas Twidell of Totternhoe, farmer, aged 50 he knows the farm lying in South End or Church End of Totternhoe and close of called Home Close (2a) adjoining, which he beleives are numbered 50 and 51 on Totternhoe tithe map (total - 2 acres 2 roods 29 petches) he occupied said farmhouse and meadow for 15 years from 1844 to december last [1859] when they were let to son William Twidell. Previously let to father Daniel Twidell for 15 years untill 1844. from date of commencing tenancy untill 1848 (death of Maria hunt, wife of Rev. Thomas Hunt of Upper Clapton, Middlesex) paid rent to her or her agent. From 1848 paid rent to either Martha Drayton ( wife and now widow of George Box Drayton of Stoke Newington. Middlesex, surgeon) and Maria Hunt of Upper Clapton, spinster., or their agent. he believes them to be the two daughters of Maria Hunt. Certain rights of common for 2 cows on the Cow Comons and he excercised them occasionaly and so did his father mark of Thomas Twidell witness Charles S Benning, Commissioner for Oaths
