  • Scope and Content
My son George Pool is 25 years of age, he is insane and incompetent now to give his legal evidence. The place of his settlement is at Marston Trussell in the County of Northampton - my settlement is also there and my son has done no act to gain a settlement in his own right. About five or six years ago I was residing in the parish of Wellingborough in the County of Northampton. My son was living with me as part of my family and became disordered in his senses. Having become chargeable to the parish of Wellingborough application was made to the Overseers of Marston Trussell to remove him and he was removed by the Overseers of Marston Trussell to Saint Luke's in Middlesex and maintained in St Lukes for six months at the expense of the parish of Marston Trussell. I accompanied the Overseers to St Lukes when my son was delivered to that Asylum. I am a certificated person from the parish of Marston Trussell and have done no act tomy knowledge whereby my son could gain any other settlement.
