  • Scope and Content
I was married in the Spring about 23 or 24 years ago at the parish church of St Paul, Bedford to my late husband William Randall. Before I married him I was a widow and my name was Sarah Cushee. He died as I have been informed and believe on the 14th October 1821and was buried at St Pauls, Bedford. I lived with him about seven or eight years after we married and then we separated. I have been informed and believe that his settlement was in the parish of Campton in this County. During the time I lived with him I was allowed half a crown a week by that parish and I know he received it because I always went with him to the Overseers and saw him receive it, except once. We never resided in the parish of Campton after we married, but used to travel about the countryand get a living by selling a few things. My husband was a cripple, I have been told and believe it to be true that he received half a crown a weekfrom Campton from the time of our separation to the time of his death. I have no children. I have not nor did my late husband in his life time to my knowledge or belief do any act to gain any other settlement. I am now actually chargeable to the parish of St Paul in this town.
