He was admitted attorney in Court of Queens Bench, Trinity term, 1821. Then was in partnership with his father, William Greene, Ampthill, gentleman, up to his death in April 1828. 2. Said father was confidential advisor and solicitor of Edward Shouler, Brickhill Pastures Farm, Ampthill. After father's death, he became professional advisor to Edward Shouler up to his death in May 1832, and he prepared the will of Edward Shouler. 3. That conveyance of 22 November 1841 was made by him. Recitals are true and correct according to his knowledge and belief. 4. He was well acquainted with Edward Shouler's family. He had 4 children which grew to adulthood including Ann Shouler who married John Berry and died without issue and intestate. Does not believe any marriage settlement was made. 5. There was a son, William, who died in the lifetime of his father, a bachelor and intestate. Also Ann Berry, Sarah Sexton and Jemima who married George King. 6. He knew Ann and Sarah but not Jemima as she was married in 1812 and he did not enter his father's office until 1815. 7. He had never heard of any other children of Edward Shouler. 8. Edward Shouler King of Millbrook, farmer, was only son of George King and wife Jemima (formerly Jemima Shouler). 9. Has perused extracts from parish registers as marked. He believes them to be correct but has not himself examined them with the respective registers. Signed by John Greene, 17 January 1870
