- Scope and ContentBorn at Warden about Michaelmas 1756. Father subsequently moved to St. Paul’s with a certificate from Warden parish dated 24 March 1757, declaring Examinant’s father, Thomas Breadsell, carpenter, her mother, Sarah Breadsell, the Examinant herself and her brothers, Thomas and William, to be inhabitants of Warden. Examinant lived continually with her father at St. Paul’s until she attained 18 years of age, when she then let herself to Ann Taylor, St. Peter’s, widow, to serve for 1 year at a wage of 40/-. Lived with Ann Taylor under such hiring at St. Peter’s for 9 weeks, whereupon Taylor removed to St. Paul’s, living in Well Street. Examinant continued to serve Taylor at St. Paul’s for the remainder of the year, then returned to her parents and continued to live with them at St. Paul’s until their deaths. Examinant’s mother died in 1799, and Examinant had lived ever since at St. Paul’s. Removed by Orders.
