- Scope and ContentBorn at Biddenham, sometime prior to 1777 [actual date unspecified]. Father’s name was John Clark, and mother’s maiden name was Ann Brimley: examinant unaware whether they were married when he was born. Believed he was christened at Biddenham. Father’s place of settlement was Ampthill, from which he had a Certificate to Biddenham. Father died at Bedford when examinant was about 9 years of age. On death of father, mother took examinant and his two brothers to Ampthill, and she received an allowance from that parish for their support. No other settlement. About a week after Christmas 1796 was married to Alice Davy at St. Paul’s. Entry crossed through.
