- Scope and ContentEdward Jackson of Cardington, labourer - he was at work thatching at Mr Peck's on Saturday July 16th. He wore the apron that day. he put it into Mr Peck's hay barn in the evening. He went to his work that morning about 5.30am and found his apron gone. The apron now produced by the constable of Cardington is his. He knows it as he made it himself. Between 5 and 6am he saw Abbott standing against Mr Peck's gate with the apron tied round him. He asked out Abbott came by it. Abbott replied "Oh dear take the apron and do as you please with it". Abbott took the apron off and threw it down.
