Born at Cardington about 1775, where his father then resided and now lived under a certificate from Eaton Socon [then in Beds]. Had lived with his father continuously and worked with him in his trade of blacksmith, but has never been bound apprentice nor made any agreement for letting himself to his father. No other settlement in his own right. Married Ann Norton at St. Paul’s, 8 October 1793.
