- Scope and ContentLet himself as a yearly servant to William Pell, Moulton, Northants., farmer, at Michaelmas 1786 or 1787 at a wage of £3, serving him in Moulton for one whole year, receiving his wage accordingly. Was ill with an ague for about a fortnight during the year, during which Pell permitted him to return home to his father. On his recovery, Goodwin was taken back by Pell, and no deduction of wages was made. No other settlement. Married Mary Knott at St. Paul’s, 2 April 1793.
