- Scope and ContentBound apprentice by Bedford Charity about 1774 to William Fisher of Blunham, carpenter, for 7 years, serving rather more than 6 years, when, by agreement between his father and Fisher, he was discharged on payment to Fisher of 12 guineas: however, Indentures not delivered up by reason of his father failing to pay whole amount due to Fisher. About 1784 he rented a house, bakehouse and premises in Kempston from the Reverend Mr. Hornbuckle at a yearly rent of £10, residing there about 3 months, duly paying his rent. No other settlement. Married Mary Barker, spinster, now deceased, at Kempston, about Easter 1782, by whom three children: Elizabeth, aged about 9 years, Joseph, aged about 6 years, and William, aged about 3 years. Remarried at Essendon Herts., about March 1792 to Mary Green, spinster
