- Scope and ContentLet himself as yearly servant to Thomas Wright, farmer, Bromham, in about 1762 at a yearly wage of 5 guineas, living with Wright one year. Again let himself to Wright for a further year a yearly wage of 6 guineas. Now resided in own house and premises in Offal Lane, St. Paul’s, which he had inherited from his father, and had lived there about 5 years. Married Mary, spinster, now deceased, at Bromham, about 1769 by whom three children: Elizabeth aged about 22 years, Sarah, aged about 20 years and Ann, aged about 18 years. Remarried at Bromham about 1786, to Mary, by whom four children: James aged about 4½ year, Ruth aged nearly 4 years, William aged about 3 years, and one child, not yet christened, aged one month.
