Information of Robert Smith son of Cornelius and Mary Smith now a Private in the Bedford militia.

He was born in the parish of Calne in the County of Wilts in which parish his said late father had a house and malthouse of his own and in which his father lived many years and carried on the trade of a maltster and which premises his father was obliged to sell to pay his duty. His said father never gained any other settlement nor hath he since his birth by renting, service, apprenticeship or otherwise and saith that on about 30th May last intermarried with his present wife Sarah whose maiden name was Gaston in St Cuthbert, Bedford.
