I was 22 years of age on 7th August last and and am the son of George Allen, late of Harrold, boot and shoe maker, and Ann his wife formerly Ann Johnson, spinster. I was born in the said parish of Harrold and resided with my father in the said parish where he was a settled inhabitant and learnt his trade of a boot and shoe maker but was never apprenticed to him by Indenture. My father was also for some years High Constable for the Division of Bletsoe. I was married on the 25th April last at the Independent Chapel, Harrold by Reverend George Bull Phillips to Mary Bowyer formerly Mary Bowyer Odell of St Paul, Bedford, spinster.
