The legal settlement of my father is in St Paul, in this town, he obtained such settlement by having been an apprentice by the trustees of the Harpur Charity to Joseph Johnston Smith of St Paul, wheelwright, and having served the term of his apprenticeship in the parish. I have seen the Indentures by which mty father was bound apprentice. I have never lived out of the parish of St Mary and have done no act to gain a settlement in my own right. I was married on the 11th January instant at the parish church of St Paul to Martha Wale, spinster.
