- Scope and ContentSarah Hester: kept the Black Swan Public House in Biggleswade. About 6 weeks previous the prisoner came to her house to lodge and remained on and off until 8 March. On the day after he left she missed a watch and did not see it again until produce by the policeman. She kept it in a pocket at the head of the bed in her room. Hester and the prisoner had both slept upstairs and he had been into her room on occasion to leave his linen. The watch had been hers for a great many years.
