I was 20 years of age 12th October instant. I am the son of Titus Hancock and Mary his wife formerly Mary Hancock, spinster of Kempston, who were married at the parish church of Kempston and at which parish Iwas born, and of which parish my father was a settled inhabitant. My father died when I was young and my mother then married Ebenezer Barratt of Kempston, tailor with whom from that time up to the present I have lived and resided in his house as part of his family and have learnt his trade but have never been bound to him by Indentures. I have done no act to gain any other settlement. I was married on 23rd October instant at the parish church of St Paul, Bedford to Elizabeth Mayes of St Paul, spinster.
