- Scope and ContentI am 22 years of age the 1st February next and am the son of Charles Ibbs of Kimbolton, stationer and printer. About the month of October 1834 I was bound apprentice by Indentures to John Edis of Sharnbrook, baker, for the term of four years and served and resided with him at Sharnbrook the whole of the said term except the last three weeks thereof when I was taken ill with the rheumatic fever and was unable to work. I now rent and occupy a house at Tilbrook at the yearly rent of ten pounds which I enetered upon the 15th of November last. I was married on Thursday 20th January instant at the parish church of St Paul, Bedford to Martha Goddard. My indentures of apprenticeship have not been delivered up to me and are now in the custody of Mr Peck of Kimbolton, surgeon.
