I am 28 years of age. I was born in Sheffield in Yorkshire where my parents then resided. My father rented a house at Sheffield. I lived with my father at Sheffield for seven years and then went to Alfreton in Derbyshire and lived there till I was of the age of fourteen. I was then apprenticed to George Carey of St Mary, Nottingham by Indentures for seven years and served and lodged the full term of my apprenticeship in that parish. I now rent and reside in a house in the High Street, St Paul, Bedford at the yearly rent of seventy pounds. I was married on Thursday 21st January instant to Sarah Thorp.
