- Scope and ContentI am 21 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe in Clapham where my father resided, I lived with my father until I was 13 years of age when I was apprenticed by the Trustees of the Clapham Charity to William Bachelor of St Paul, Bedford, tailor, for the term of seven years with whom I served the full term of my apprenticeship. Since which and up to the present time I have worked as a journeyman with Henry May of St Paul, Bedford, tailor. I have not to my kowledge gained any settlement except in the parish of St Paul. I was married on Tuesday 28th January instant at St Mary, Bedford, to Mary Maria Wightman.
