    Assignment: (i) George Maule, Huntingdon, gentleman (ii) John Maule, Greenwich, Kent, gentleman (iii) William Coleman, Boughton Malherbe, Kent, esquire (iv) William Scudamore, Maidstone, Kent, gentleman. Reciting various deeds relating to the manor of Wroxhill and that residue of term of 400 years is now vested in (i) and residue of term of 500 years in (ii) in trust for (i), now (iii) has agreed with (i) for purchase of said Manor etc and other property in Marston Moretaine for £7100, of which £6000 is to be secured by mortgage and further secured by bond of (iii). By deed of feoffment and mortgage already prepared and intended to be dated the day after this, the freehold of said Manor comprised in said terms of 400 and 500 years will be conveyed in consideration of £1100 paid, and £6000 secured to be paid by (iii) to (i), to (iii) for term of 1000 years to secure repayment of £6000 and interest at 5% per annum. Now (ii) at request of (i) and consent of (iii) transfers to (iv) said Manor of Wroxhill, and messuage, lands etc now in the occupation of William Yates to be held for (iv) for residue of terms of 400 and 500 years on trust that term of 400 years may become merged in term of 500 years. Said term of 500 years is on trust to better secure payment to (i) of £6000 and interest. Signatures of all.     Details of endorsement: Transfer: (a) Mercy Exton, Ampthill, widow; John Grant, Leighton Buzzard, merchant; Peter Bassett, draper (executors of George Exton, late of Ampthill, grocer, deceased) (b) George Maule (c) John Maule (d) William Coleman (e) William Scudamore. Reciting previous deeds and that deed of 24 December 1800 was not executed by George Exton. By this omission it is apprehended that same Manor remains legally vested in representatives of George Exton for residue of term of 500 years. George Exton by will of 10 December 1801 appointed (a) as executors. Will proved Prerogative Court of Canterbury). Equitable right to residue of 500 years is vested in (e) on trusts. Now (a) by direction of (b) and (c) and nomination of (d) transfer to (e) -- Manor of Wroxhill etc -- messuage, lands etc in Wroxhill for remainder of said term of 500 years. Signatures of all.
