I am about 21 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe in Newport Pagnell in the County of Buckingham. where I have resided all my life. My father is a settled inhabitant of Newport. I do not know how he originally ained his settlement but I know he has rented a tenement at Newport in the New Road near the wharf of ten pounds a year of Mr William Clarkson as long as I can remember. I have done no act to my knowledge to gain a settlement in my own right. I was married yesterday at Newport Church to Sarah Wright, late of Bedford with whom I had a portion of Twenty Pounds from the Trustees of the Bedford Charity.
