i) Edwin Rowley, Agatha, Abbey Wood Road, Belvedere, Kent, gentleman; ii) John Palmer, Market Street, Bermondsey, Surrey, leather merchant, William Vicary, Newton Abbott, Devon, leather merchant; iii) Christiana Hutchinson, wife of Thomas Hutchinson, Pickering, Yorkshire, said Thomas Hutchinson; iv) William Thomas Rogers and Frederick Howard Rogers, 2 Rye Lane, Peckham, London, gentlemen.Robert James Adams, being possessed of below mentioned property by deed of 7 April 1887, a) Robert James Adams, b) Margaret Simpson, to secure repayment of £500 and interest; reciting will of Robert James Adams dated 10 April 1890 by which he bequeathed residue of his estate to daughter Sarah Ann Adams who he also appointed sole executrix. He died 7 July 1891. Will proved (Principal Probate Registry) on 29 July 1891; reciting will of Margaret Simpson, who died on 5 January 1898, dated 4 January 1898 by which she appointed her niece, Christiana Hutchinson, sole executrix. Will proved (Principal Probate Registry) on 24 January 1898; reciting deed of 2 June 1898 between Christiana Hutchinson and ii) by which premises conveyed to ii0 subject to said equity of redemption; reciting also marriage of Sarah Ann Adams with Friend Stedman on 28 May 1892; reciting will of Sarah Ann Stedman dated 1 August 1893 by which she appointed i) and William White Palmer as executors and trustees and bequeathed her property to them in trust for sale. She died 25 June 1901. Will proved (Principal Probate Registry) on 26 March 1902, William White Palmer having disclaimed the trusteeship. £250 only remains owing on said mortgage. Doubts have arisen whether legal estate passed to ii) by said transfer of 2 June 1898 by reason of Christiana Hutchinson purporting to convey said property as personal representative of said Margaret Simpson, without concurrence of said husband. Now in consideration of £605 paid by iv) at request of i) i.e.£250 to ii) to discharge of money owing them and £355 residue to i), ii) as mortgagees with consent of i) and iii) convey to iv): piece of ground on W side of Peckham branch of Grand Surrey Canal, in North Field, Peckham, Camberwell, abutting on Stanton Street, N and S - 63ft 6inches in depth. Said property was comprised (inter alia) by conveyance of 3 October 1876 between 1) Henry Oxford, 2) Barter Reynolds, 3) Robert James Adams; 15 and 17 Stanton Street, built on said land (as in plan in margin). i) acknowledges right of iv) to production of deed of disclaimer of 28 July 1902. Signatures of i) – iv). Various witnesses. With acknowledgement of consent of Christiana Hutchinson.
