- Scope and ContentDue to information that a sheep had been stolen from Mr Freeman's flock he went on 24 December accompanied by Joseph Short in search of the skin. Short said he knew where it was and would show him where it lay. He took him through several fields until they came to Mr Barnard's Nucketts. When they got there Short said the skin lay in the corner near two trees which lay on the ground as Jesse [Sinfield] had told him. They found the skin lying in the ditch with the water running over it. He delivered the skin to Richard Fleckney.
