  • Title
Statutory declaration of John Williamson, Sharnbrook, surgeon. He was acquainted with Thomas Slaney, late of Riseley, yeoman, deceased for 30 years, and with his wife Mary, whom he married in 1815 and who was previously Mary Jeeves, widow. Their first child was a son who died shortly after his birth. He knows Simeon Sutton Slaney, second child of Thomas and Mary, who is still living and is heir at law of father, said Thomas Slaney. Thomas Slaney and wife Mary were Baptists and he does not doubt that they did not have their children baptised or any entry made at Little Staughton Parish Church where he was born. At the time of his birth no register was kept at Little Staughton Baptist Meeting. Signature of John Williamson. Witness: Thomas W Turnley, Master Extraordinary in Chancery.
