I am about 22 years of age, was born as I have been informed and believe at St Mary, Bedford, where my father resides. When I was about 14 years of age I was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Harpur Charity to Mr George Clifton of St Peter, baker. I served my full term of seven years which expired on 7th August 1837 since which time I have worked as a journeyman, I am now in the employ of Mr David Malden of St Paul, baker. I was married on 5th August instant at St Mary to Mary Ann Hill.
