- Scope and ContentGeorge Cocksedge: the Inspector of Police stationed in Hitchin. He was given the items into his custody on 22 November by George Knight. On 1 December, the prisoners were brought into custody by Constable Knight. Tansley & Smith were placed in one cell and Barker in another. Tansley asked Cocksedge what they would get if found guilty. Cocksedge asked if any of them had committed before and was told no.
