- Scope and ContentI am about 25 years of age, was born as I have been informed at the parish of Knossington in the County of Leicester. When I was about 5 years of age my father removed to Whissendine, County of Rutland where he rented a farm at about £150 a year and remained there about 14 years and then went to live at the parish of Lyddington in the County of Rutland and rented a farm there at about £80 per annum. I always lived with my family until the month of January 1835 when I came to live at Bedford and got the situation of attendant of the mill at the Old House of Correction. I now live in St Paul and pay a yearly rent of £15. I was married on 10th August instant at St Mary, Bedford to Ann Twyddell.
