- Scope and ContentI am about 21 years of age, was born at St John, Bedford. When near 14 years of age I was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of the Harpur Charity to Mr Thomas Parker of Northampton, basket maker. I only remained three weeks with Parker on account of his ill usage to me. I returned to my father at Bedford and remained with him until last Saturday when I took a house in Gas Street, St Paul where I now reside. Since I left Northampton I have been employed by several persons in Bedford as an errand boy but always lived with my father who has for the last twenty years resided in St Pauls. I now work as a sack carrier for Mr Stocker of St Paul, Church Yard corn factor. I was married n the 25th July instant at St Paul to Mary Ann Page.
