- Scope and ContentI am about 25 years of age. In August 1831 I let myself to John Thomas Dawson esquire of Clapham for a year at wages of £12 and at the expiration of the year relet myself to him for a second year at the same wages and at the expiration of the second year for a third year at the wages of £16, and served him under those hirings at Clapham for three successive years. From the time I left Mr Dawsons service in August 1834 I have been in the service of Campbell at Ravensden. I was married on Friday last the 10th at St Paul, Bedford to Alice Bryant.
