Scope and Content
I was born in the town of Bedford and was placed out apprentice by the Trustees of Harpurs Charity in the month of January 1821 to John Purser of St John, Bedford for seven years. I served the whole of my apprenticeship there and have not done any act since to gain a settlement. I was married at Hitchin on the 27th instant to Susanna Shelton.
