- Scope and ContentDavid Boness: on 10 and 11 November he was a labourer employed by Mr George Peters of Potton. He was employed to dig and pit potatoes. On the evening of 11, he left them in the pit crossed with straw and the following morning returned to earth them up. He found the pits disturbed and a quantity of potatoes missing. There were 3 pits; 1 of red and 2 of white potatoes. When the potatoes were produced by the policeman, he compared them to those remaining and found them to match. On 11 November about 4 o'clock he saw Samuel Townsend and James Britton pass along the road and 100 yards. There was another person he could not identify with them.
