Indictment - Daniel William Browning of Dunstable, labourer, for falsely pretending to Henry Goude that his name was Thomas Ward and that he occupied a small farm at Cranfield where he had lost 6 cows by a disease prevalent among cattle, and unlawfully obtained from Henry Goude 5 shillings Plea - not guilty. Verdict - guilty.
