- Scope and ContentDetails of bequests: To daughter Elizabeth Brown and her legal heirs: -- all messuages, cottages, lands etc in Flitwick in the occupation of E Farey -- messuages, cottages, lands etc in Ampthill, in the occupation of William Poulton, Dr Taylor, the workhouse man, Daniel Mann, Thomas Smith, William Carter, Thomas Bushby and Henry Cooper -- messuages, cottages, lands etc at Maulden, now in the occupation of James Porter -- messuage, land adjoining in Ampthill 'in my own occupation' If daughter dies without lawful issue then to daughter Ann Brown, subject to various annuities, to be paid quarterly. To wife Ruth Brown: -- £50 for life To Elizabeth Walduck: -- annuity of £6 To brother Joseph Brown: -- annuity of £6 To daughter Ann Brown: -- all messuages, lands etc in Ampthill and Maulden, now in the occupation of James Humphrey -- all messuages, cottages, lands etc in Marston Moretaine and Houghton Conquest -- all that messuage, land etc at Ampthill in the occupations of Richard Boughton and John Paddon -- messuage, land etc in Ampthill in the occupation of George Exton If daughter dies without issue then to other daughter, Elizabeth Brown and her lawful heirs, also charged with said annuities. If daughters leave lawful issue then they may dispose of their estates proportionately among such issue as daughters may decide by will or deed. If daughters die without issue, then property devised as follows: To George Exton: - messuages, land etc, wherein he lives, in Ampthill To nephew John Brown (son of brother Joseph Brown): - remainder of Ampthill property To nephew Daniel Brown of Luton - messuages, lands etc at Flitwick To nephew William Brown (son of brother John Brown) - messuage, lands etc at Marston Moretaine To nephew Joseph Brown (son of brother Jos Brown) - messuages, lands etc at Houghton Conquest To nephew Richard Brown (son of brother Joseph Brown) - messuages, lands etc at Malden To nephew William Brown, son of John Brown - £50 To brother Joseph Brown: -- £50 -- all his wearing apparel To wife Ruth Brown: -- £100 To nephew Richard Brown [note in margin 'erased by Wm Brown'], son of Joseph Brown: -- £50 Also to wife -- household goods, furniture To daughters, Elizabeth Brown and Ann Brown -- rest and residue of goods and chattels, money, plate, real and personal estates etc not otherwise disposed of Wife, daughters, and brother Richard Brown appointed executrixes and executor.
