- Scope and ContentI am about 37 years of age, was born in Hull in Yorkshire where my father Edward Blythe, a pipemaker, resided and belonged. At about 14 years of age I was apprenticed to my father by Indenture for seven years and served the whole of my time with him. About ten years ago I hired a shop and other premises at Nottingham in the parish of St Mary there, of Mr Bollivant, a dyer in Dean Bridge Street at a rent of fourteen pounds a year. I rented the premises for three years sand carried on the business of a pipemaker and paid the full rent and all taxes for the same. I have not done any act since to gain another settlement. I was married at the parish church of St Paul, Bedford on the 3rd instant to Frances Howard.
