Now in consideration of £500 paid to (i) by (ii), (i) assigns to (ii): said Manor, Lordship, closes etc (greatest part being arable and in tillage), and several sums of £300 and £91 for remainder of terms of 500 and 1000 years. Further details given: Reciting transfer of 20 February 1695/96: (a) Simon Urlin (b) Sarah Partridge (c) Rowland Carlton, Thomas Arnold. By which (c) by direction of (a) transferred to (b): -- said manor, Lordship, messuages, closes etc -- said sums of money for residue of terms of 500 years and 1000 years. Said £500 not paid, so interest of (b) in the said premises became absolute for residue of the term. Reciting also assignment of 28 November 1699: (A) said Elizabeth Chaplin (B) said Frances Urlin (C) William Gregory, Cashio Bury, Watford, Hertfordshire. Consideration £500 paid to (A) by (C). (A) assigned to C): -- Lordship, Manor, closes of pasture for residue of said terms to secure repayment of £525 to (C) on 29 November 1700. Said money not paid so estate of (C) became absolute in the premises for residue of said terms of years.
