I am about 21 years of age, was born in St Paul where my father James Taylor then resided. In the years 1818 my father went to reside at Biddenham. When I was about 12 I was hired by Major Kenny of Biddenham as a footboy at the yearly wages of £6.10.0. I continued in his service 14 months when I let myself to John Thomas Dawson at Clapham and lived with him about three quarters of a year. i then resided with my father for about six months when I let myself to Mr Farrer of Brayfield where I remained about three quarters of the year. I have since worked as a labourer and have done no other act to gain a settlement. I was married on the 28th instant at St Paul to Keziah Hearl.
