    William Bean of Toddington, whitesmith - on Thursday 22 July he saw a pair of earrings belonging to him safe in a box in his house. The previous Friday he missed them. From information received he suspected Elizabeth Kingham had stolen them. He gave information to the policeman Samuel Hornal, who soon afterwards brought back the earrings. Elizabeth Kingham once lived in his service. Samuel Hornal, police constable 39 - he went to the house of William Burrows where Elizabeth Kingham lodges. He asked her where she kept her earrings. She brought down an earthen pot in which she kept them, and he found the pair lost by William Bean. Elizabeth Kingham - she is sorry anything of the kind ever happened.
