- Scope and ContentI am about 26 years of age, was born in Clophill where my father then resided but belonged to Biggleswade. In March 1823 I let myself to Mr Henry Pulley of St Paul, draper, as a general servant at the wages of three pounds and livery, board and lodging. After living with him a year he raised my wages to three pounds ten shillings. I continued with him ten months more then we parted, I have ever since worked by the week with sundry persons in London and elsewhere but have not done any other act to gain a settlement. I was married at the - to - Pencil note - St Martins in the Fields. Incomplete. Not signed or dated.
