I am 23 years of age, was born in St Paul, Bedford where my resided and belonged. When I was about 14 years of age I was placed out apprentice by the trustees of Harpur's Charity by Indenture now produced dated 19th May 1823 for seven years to William Brown of Cardington, shoemaker. I served the whole of my time with him and his widow at Cardington and have not done any act since to gain another settlement. I was married on 31st July last at St Paul to Sarah Hockliffe, spinster.
