- Scope and ContentSarah Kirby: on 23 May between 6 and 7 o'clock she missed a pair of stockings. She had hung them up the previous day. On 24 Sergeant Beach showed her stockings which she identified as her property. George Francis: keeper of the Bell Public House in St Pauls Bedford. On 23 May the prisoner came to the house and Francis saw him undo a pair of stockings and dry them before the fire. William Beach: on 23 May, he apprehended the prisoner at Mr Francis' public house and when the accused got off his seat, Beach found the stockings.
