I am 21 years of age, was born in St Cuthbert, Bedford. On 24th November 1823 I was placed out apprentice by the trustees of Harpur's Charity by Indenture (now produced) to Elizabeth Jones of St Paul, shoemaker, for seven years. I served the whole of my time there and have not done any act since to gain another settlement. I was married on the 7th instant at St Paul to Ann Hall.
