On or about the 13 March 1827 she was delivered of a male bastard child since baptised Alexander in the hamlet of Humbershoe, parish of Studham. The said child is now aged about three years and a half and is living with Mary Elizabeth Smith in St Mary wherein Mary Elizabeth Smith is settled and the said child is chargeable thereto. The said Mary Elizabeth Smith is not willing to part with the child until he attains the age of seven years.
