My son William is sixteen years of age next February. he is an illegitimate child and was born in the parish of Pulloxhill in the COunty of Bedford. My husband Isaac Neal is the fatehr of my said son William. When my son was about three quarters of a year old I was examined before a bench of Magistrates at Ampthill and swore the child to my said husband and orders of filiation were then made on him. About one month afterwards I married my said husband. My son William Neal has always lived with me and has never done any act to gain a settlement in his own right and he is now actually chargeable to the parish of St Paul. William Neal: he is about 16 years of age, he has always lived with his mother Hannah Neal and has never done any act to gain a settlement in his own right and is now chargeable to the parish of St Paul.
