I am about 20 years of age, was born in St Paul, Bedford, where my father Samuel Chater then resided but belonged to the parish of Burton in the County of Northampton, he having gained his settlement by service but I do not know with whom. I have never done any act to gain a settlement in my own right. Iwas married on the 2nd day of November instant at St Peter to Mary Carter.
