- Scope and ContentJohn Potton: horse keeper to John Surtees Cole of Blunham, and the ploughshares produced were similar to those he had been in the habit of using, and which had been lost. Before the ploughshares had been missed he had seen the prisoner coming from the direction of where they had been left, with something over his shoulder. William Brockett: horse keeper to Reverend Mountain. On 27 November, whilst on his way home to breakfast with Thomas [?]rick, they saw a man picking up something and putting it in a sack. He threw the sack on his shoulders, and left the field by a gap in the hedge. They came up to him on the road as he was wiping his shoes and recognized him as the prisoner. Emery said to them that he supposed they wish to see what he had in the sack. Brockett put his hand on the sack and found it to contain ploughshares.
