- Scope and Contenthe went to Dunstable as it was a fair day and he wanted to earn a shilling by his basket. He asked someone what they were doing and they replied nothing. He went to the wild beast show. They said it was the last time they were going round. He was passed by a gentleman. Hide had both hands in his pockets. The man caught hold of his collar and said that Hide had his handkerchief. Hide told him he did not. The man called Sharpe and had him taken into custody. Sharpe searched him and found only 3 pence, nothing else.
