Decorative binding with clasps. Contains 44 photographs. Pages 1 - 9 have captions in ink, probably contemporary. Some of the remaining photographs have been identifed from accompanying pencilled notes and existing pictures held in the Beds. & Luton Archives.
Photographers: Most of the photographs are by Cundall, Downes & Co., Harpur Street, Bedford, who were in business c. 1863 - 1869. There are also pictures by the following photographers: Gale of Bedford (nos. 11, 14, 15, 28); W.S. Wright, Olney, Buckinghamshire (nos. 41,44, 45); and W. Andrews, Dublin (no. 43).
