- Scope and ContentHe has sent to inform her that Mr Howard had been to him that afternoon and told him that she has been offering for sale some socket chisels near Hitchin. He begs her in God's name to deliver them up to Mr Howard as quickly as possible as Howard has promised to be as favourable to him as possible if he returns them. He expects to be examined the next day, but Mr Howard is going on a journey he thinks to London. When she sends the chisels she is to direct them to Mr Howard, ironmonger and brazier, High Street, Bedford. She is to send the [??] and 6 pence for paper for letters. She can leave where she is if she likes, but is to send to him the next Monday and he will send her all particulars. [unsigned]
