Even worst food produced by Dudeney and Johnson better than best here. not heard of good roast joint – wine dreadful. Ronald Cross and he doing business in fits and starts. Colleague Compte (sic) de Nalèche Anglo-French Company. Minister and his wife, Sir George and Lady Clerk friendly.
