- Scope and ContentGeorge Sugars: worked form Mr Samuel Harris in his beer shop. He left his coat in the coalhouse and on returning 2 days later it was gone. Sarah Etkins: early on the morning of 31 July, she saw the prisoner walk up Riseley street, go to Mr Harris's fence and go over the gates into the yard where the coal house opens. John King: apprehended the prisoner in Tillbrook, and he had on him the frock. Having heard of Mr Sugar having lost his, he charged him, but the prisoner said hehad found it near Mr Harris’s gate and he had not gone on the premises.Statement of the accused: he said he found the frock in the road.
